VTB United League president Sergey Kushchenko held a working meeting with Uralmash management, the team that joined the League ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The League newcomer started the season with a 2-2 record, with wins over Zenit and Lokomotiv Kuban.
During the meeting with Uralmash president Viktor Ganienko and the club’s executive director Sergey Domanov, they discussed the team and region development, attracting fans to basketball games and creating a colourful show at the arena, improving DIVS arena to create a high-quality TV picture, as well as possible holding games at the UMMC multi-purpose arena under construction (designed for 15,000 fans), which is planned to be launched in 2024.
Uralmash, as the VTB League newcomer, fulfils all the requirements of the regulations and with the support of the city and Sverdlovsk region aims at systematic development both in terms of the club’s infrastructure and the sporting component. Among the issues that require attention is the improvement of the lighting of the playground during television signal production. The club is committed to solving this problem in the near future.
