Last week Nizhny shocked transfer market: 9-time United League champion as CSKA player Andrei Vorontsevich joined the team till the end of the season!
Russian forward, who didn’t play in the first half of the season debuted for NN well: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists. “I feel good, should work on percentage and it would be fine. In terms of emotions, sure, I was nervous about the result, tried to cheer guys even from the bench. That’s the key, teammates should feel support all the time”, – Vorontsevich said after the game, he didn’t play in the United League for more than a year.
The game had unexpected story. Astana that came to Volga not as front-runners were good: they were successful at offense, and even more successful at defense. Jeremiah Hill scored 21 points in a half, and Kazakhstan gained 22-point advantage, Nizhny have never overcome such gap in history.

Zielona Gora have 12-8 in @VTBUL now (60%)
The last non-Russian team to finish regular season with at least 60% wins was Lietuvos Rytas in 2013/14 (13-5). @basket_zg will play w/ Enisey, Kalev and Khimki at home & w/ Astana on the road.
