The VTB United League General Director Ilona Kostin shared the opinion on Runa performance at the start of the new season.
«The debut is very successful. The team looks very cheerful, good attitude. It is pleasent when newcomers match the VTB United League level. We can only wish them luck.
I think everything is in Runa hands. Anything is possible, the season has just started. It’s important to have a strong first part of the season, because we count points, then divide the teams into two groups. And if Runa manages to get into Group A, then all chances will be in front of them», Korstin said.
Runa became the fifth team in VTB United League history to debut with three wins in three games.
Previously, only CSKA (2009), UNICS (2009), Spartak St. Petersburg (2011) and MBA (2022) managed to achieve this.
