20 years ago today, Republic of Tatarstan National Bank chairman Evgeny Borisovich Bogachev was elected president of UNICS.
During his tenure, UNICS has become one of the best teams in Russia and Europe.
Kazan has won championships in the EuroCup (2010-11), FIBA Cup (2003-04) and Northern European Basketball League (2002-03).
UNICS has finished second in the Russian league five times and third seven times. Kazan has also won the Russian Cup three times.
UNICS has made it to the VTB United League championship three times (2009-10, 2011-12, 2015-16) and finished in third place twice (2010-11, 2013-14).
