CSKA started the season with a confident win over Samara, MINSK had a huge loss against PARMA-PARI at the start, scoring only 48 points. The Alexey Shved – Nikola Milutinov duo helped the Army team to make a 12-3 run in the first minutes, but the Belarusian team were more determined than against the Perm team. Kirill Sitnik and MINSK snipers brought the guests back to the game. After 10 minutes, CSKA led 27:21.
At the beginning of the second quarter, Darol Hernandez-Zinenko helped MINSK to got closer to CSKA. But the time for the Moscow team shooters came. Samson Ruzhentsev scored three 3-pointers in only 1:14 minute. CSKA caught the courage and had a 16 points lead – 56:40 at the halftime.
MINSK failed to change the game. CSKA confidently worked in defense, allowed the opposing team to score 17 points in 10 minutes. The hosts also played well in offense, Shved was the key player in the third quarter. The Army team confidently brought the game till the end after another 8-point run.
