Game progress
The Saratov team ranks second in the League in average performance, scoring 96 points per game. And already at the start of the game, Avtodor began to confirm its reputation as a hyper-attacking team. The first minutes were draw, but Philip Scrubb and Grant Jerrett two three-pointers in a row set the pace for Saratov team acceleration. At the same time, Avtodor played much more organized in defense than in previous games. Having quickly secured a double-digit lead with the efforts of the same Jerret, they could not calm down on this, but began to build up the advantage, demonstrating exemplary ball movement. 28:11 at the end of the first 10 minutes — and already at the beginning of the game, the hosts made a significant job for success in the game.

In the second quarter, Avtodor’s onslaught decreased slightly, but Tsmoki player Stefan Jankovic showed out, who scored two accurate shots from behind the arc. However, this did not help the Dragons to organize a comeback — Tsmoki only prevented the Saratov team from increasing the lead even more. By the big break, the scoreboard was still showing the same +17 Emil Rajkovic’s squad lead – 49:32.

Already at the very beginning of the third quarter, Zeljko Sakic again brought the difference in the score to +21. Despite Robert Upshaw good performance performed and the young Uladzislau Bliznyuk (they scored 17 out of 19 Tsmoki points for two in a quarter), Avtodor kept the guests at a comfortable distance without any problems. The final 10 minutes turned into a benefit of Saratov’s Jaron Johnson, who did not allow the Minsk team to escape from a major loss.

Hero
Jaron Johnson. Coming off the bench, the Saratov team joker spent 21 minutes on the court and managed to become the most resultative (18 points) and the most effective (23 points) Avtodor player in this game. He also has 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal.

Numbers
95. Avtodor demonstrates amazing stability, scoring 95 or more points in the third game in a row.

Comments

 Emil Rajkovic, Avtodor Head Coach:
– I think we felt comfortable on the home court in this game. Our defense was already better and the whole team took part in the win. It is very important. Step by step we need to improve our game defensively and in some offencive aspects. I hope that in the next games we will continue to gain playing form and get better and better.

Rostislav Vergun, Tsmoki-Minsk Head Coach:
– It is difficult to count on a positive result when you make 15 fewer rebounds than your opponents and when two key players in the stats have solid zeros. We played on equal terms for three quarters. But in one composition we could impose a fight, and in some certain combinations we got a game in one ring. We will draw conclusions in order to understand who we can count on and with whom we should move on. I congratulate the opponent on a well-deserved win.
