Today on January 18 RUSADA published information about CSKA forward Nikita Kurbanov 3-month suspension for a article 4.1 of the Russian Anti-Doping Rules violation.
Following the Decision of the Commission for the preliminary review of cases of anti-doping rule violations by RUSADA and based on the RBF Anti-Doping Commission Decision, guided by paragraph 5 of part 10 of Article 26 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation of December 4, 2007 № 329-FZ «About Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation», the VTB United League applies to the athlete Nikita Kurbanov a sanction in a disqualification form for 3 months period with credit for the served suspension from October 20, 2023.
During the period of suspension, CSKA player Nikita Kurbanov did not participate in any VTB United League games. The period of ineligibility, including the suspension, expires on January 19. Starting January 20, Kurbanov can participate in League games.
The VTB United League follows with the Russian Anti-Doping Rules and the WADA Code.
