Loko will check Enisey’s defense, CSKA is visiting Avtodor. Preview March 7

On Monday, Krasnoyarsk and Saratov will host 2 regular season games.

Monday, March 7

Enisey – Lokomotiv Kuban

Time: 18:00 (14:00 Moscow time)
Location: Russia, Krasnoyarsk, Arena North
Broadcast: TV Start, League website
Rivarly history: 21 games, Lokomotiv Kuban – 17 wins, Enisey – 4 wins

Enisey: A month and a half before the end of the regular season, the Krasnoyarsk team are out of the playoff zone. Enisey will try to return to the Top-8 and try to start a new winning streak in the game with Loko at home. Darrall Willis, Rion Braun and Brinton Lemar have left the team, but the Krasnoyarsk team still has Kasper Ware, one of the Top-10 players in the League in performance.

Lokomotiv Kuban: Loko start spring in an unusual 7th place. But in the rest of the regular season, Loko has every chance to rise higher in the standings, because the team has the 3 best scorers of the United League season – Errick McCollum, Jaylen Barford and Jonathan Motley in total score more than 60 points per game. However, Motley is injured, but McCollum and Barford went to Krasnoyarsk. Stanton Kidd and Greg Whittington were also left.

Avtodor – CSKA

Time: 19:00 (18:00 Moscow time)
Location: Russia, Saratov, LDS Kristall
Broadcast: Match! Strana, TV Start, League website
Rivalry history: 14 games, CSKA – 13 wins, Avtodor – 1 win

Avtodor: The Saratov team became the main opening of the season: they started 2022 on the 1st place in the standings and with a 7-game winning streak. The Army team ended this streak, beating Avtodor at home on January 4. But even despite not the most successful winter (only 1 win in 3 games), the Saratov team has a great chance of returning to the playoffs for the first time since the 2017/18 season. The game with CSKA will show what Avtodor is capable of in the rest of the regular season.

CSKA: For family and personal reasons, 6 players — Tornike Shengelia, Iffe Lundberg, Marius Grigonis, Johannes Voigtmann, Joel Bolomboy and Daniel Hackett – left the team. Nikola Milutinov remained the only legionnaire in CSKA, and in the game against Avtodor a lot will depend on him. Alexey Shved, who scored 13 points and 7 assists in February, will surely lead CSKA’s offense.
