Quotes
VEF head coach Janis Gailitis:
– Both teams competed really hard today. But we had injuries, which is why the rotation wasn’t very big. Plus, we let Zenit get too many offensive rebounds. We’ll keep working on our mistakes.
Zenit head coach Vasily Karasev:
– We were very relaxed to start the game, plus we were missing several players to injuries. That had an effect on our game. We couldn’t pull away for a long time. In the second half, we brought in Janis Timma and finished strong, which resulted in the win.
