Quotes
Zenit head coach Vasily Karasev:
– The first game in a series is very important because we didn’t plan to lose the home-court advantage. The game turned out to be somewhat stressful. We couldn’t handle Shved. Because Harper was sick, we had trouble with one-on-one defense, but it’s good we were able to pull through.
Khimki head coach Dusko Ivanovic:
– The atmosphere at the game today was excellent. The arena was full, like it should be in the semifinals. As for the game, this was only the first game in the series. We’re ready to play all five, if necessary. We had a chance to win today. We didn’t take advantage and now we’re thinking about Game 2.
