Zenit against MINSK. Preview January 11

St. Petersburg will host a regular season game on Thursday.

Zenit (St. Petersburg) vs MINSK (Minsk)

Time: 19:30 (Moscow time)
Place: Russia, St. Petersburg, KSC Arena
Broadcast: TV Start, League website

Zenit: The team had a full healthy roster against PARMA. Xavier Pascual may need a few games to integrate Tomas Heurtel, Georgy Zhbanov and Denis Zakharov, who returned from injury, into the offensive plan. So far, the team’s play has been unstable – the St. Petersburg team had trailed by 13 throughout the game in Perm, but managed to win in overtime. Zenit is in the Top 3 in steals and ranks 3rd in three-pointers percentage. A game with MINSK at home should help the St. Petersburg team to improve the chemistry of their healthy roster and strengthen the third place in the standings.

MINSK: After offensively good games against UNICS and CSKA (80+ points in both), the Minsk team suffered a painful loss to Uralmash. The Belorussian team made 38.5% of three-pointers, but had some defensive problems. In the upcoming game Vadzim Stubeda and Alexandar Zecevic will again have to fight with experienced bigmen Vince Hunter and Bojan Dubljevic. If MINSK manages to defend the paint, the team has a chance to break the losing streak.
