Who’s playing?
CSKA Moscow
The Army Men have won 15 consecutive Russian titles and earned a reputation as postseason kings. But 2017-18 brings a new challenge as the Belov Cup switches to a Final Four format. Two VTB United League games, no margin for error. CSKA has a chance to write another chapter in the club’s legendary history.
UNICS Kazan
UNICS beat semifinal foe Khimki twice during the regular season, but both games were decided by a single possession. It’s tough to imagine a better match-up with a trip to the championship on the line. Buy your tickets now to see the drama unfold live.
Khimki Moscow Region
Khimki Moscow Region finished the regular season in sixth place then delivered the biggest shock of the postseason, sweeping mighty Lokomotiv-Kuban 3-0 behind superstar performances from Alexey Shved. He’s hungry for more. Semifinal foe UNICS makes a perfect second course.
Zenit St. Petersburg
Zenit has an impressive club pedigree, but is the only Final Four team to never play in Europe’s most prestigious competition. They can get there with a win over CSKA in the semis. The Zenit faithful in Moscow will be desperate for an upset.
What does the champion take home?
The Russian championship and a trip to the EuroLeague (if CSKA wins, the runner-up qualifies).
Plus, the Belov Cup. The trophy awaits its owner.
