Today, Nizhny Novgorod-2 and UNICS-2 game started the VTB United Youth League ninth season.
In the opening season game, the Kazan team won with a score of 78:70.
The best among the winning team were Sergey Polstyanov (25 points) and Sergey Drakovskiy (21 points). As for Nizhny, Daniil Alekseev (21 points and 6 rebounds) and Artem Pokrovkov (16 points and 9 rebounds).
12 Russian teams are taking part in the Youth League this season: VTB United League clubs’ youth teams – CSKA, Lokomotiv-Kuban, UNICS, Nizhny Novgorod, Enisey, Zenit, PARMA, Avtodor, as well as Super League clubs reservists – Khimki, Samara, MBA and Runa.
