VTB United Youth League 2025/26 season: format, participants and schedule

The VTB United League has approved the participants, format, and schedule for the 2025/26 youth season. The regular season will start on October 1, 2025, and end on April 8, 2026, after which the 8 strongest teams will compete in the playoffs to determine the winner.

The playoffs will begin with a best of 3 quarterfinal series. The first games will be played on the home courts of the teams ranked 5th to 8th, while the second and, if necessary, third games will be played on the home courts of the teams ranked 1st to 4th. After that, the four winners will compete in the Final Four, where the strongest team of the season in the VTB United Youth League will be determined.

Fourteen clubs will participate in the upcoming season of the VTB United Youth League championship: Avtodor-2 (Saratov), Astana-Zhastar (Astana), Enisey-2 (Krasnoyarsk Region), Zenit-M (St. Petersburg), SSHOR Lokomotiv-Kuban-2 (Krasnodar), MBA-MAI-Junior (Moscow), MINSK-M (Minsk), Nizhny Novgorod-Meshchersky (Nizhny Novgorod), PARMA-M (Perm Region), Samara-2 (Samara Region), UNICS-2 (Kazan), Uralmash-2 (Yekaterinburg), CSKA-Junior (Moscow), and CSP Khimki-2 (Moscow Region).

Astana-Zhastar will become the second foreign participant in the history of the VTB United Youth League. Last season was the debut for the Belarusian team MINSK-2.
