On December 11, one of the most anticipated events of the year was held at Hyatt Regency Moscow Petrovsky Park – summing up the results of the National Independent Award in the field of sports business and effective management of sports projects BISPO AWARDS 2019. Outstanding results in the field of sports business and effective management of sports projects of 2019 were mentioned at ceremony.
The event was attended by over 400 guests – influential and authoritative people from the field of sports and the sports business, outstanding athletes. Among them: Sergey Pryadkin (RPL), Irina Viner-Usmanova ( Gymnastics Federation), Roman Avdeev (FC Torpedo), Roman Rotenberg (Russian Hockey Federation), Igor Efremov (FNL), Stanislav Druzhinin (Russian Rugby Federation) , Dmitry Sergeev (CEO of Parimatch Russia), Andrey Gromkovsky (UFC Vice President for Russia and the CIS), Alexander Krylov (Gazprom Neft, HC Avangard, member of the KHL board of directors) and others.
VTB United League at the BISPO Awards 2019 was represented by League’s President Sergei Kushchenko.
82 projects out of 246 submitted for participation went to the final. In addition, the jury identified 46 projects and companies in non-applicated nominations, and 9 in special nominations. On December 10, the PricewaterhouseCoopers office hosted the final stage of the Awards – full-time presentation of projects by nominees before an expert jury, based on which the winners of the Prize in all nominations were determined.
VTB United League with the project “VTB United League Ecological Basketball” WILSON – “ECOBALL” became the winner in the nomination “Best sponsorship project in sports.”
VTB United League President Sergei Kushchenko:
– It’s great that we have received recognition in the sports business community at such a high level. Our collaboration with Wilson and SIBUR helped to implement a unique project – an ecological basketball, which is now played in all cities and countries of the VTB United League. We had powerful competitors, including the Parimatch with their activation of rights under the contract with Conor McGregor, as well as the signing of Khabib Nurmagomedov with Toyota. It is all the more honorable to realize that the jury have chosen the VTB United League environmental initiative. I would like to express special gratitude to the Strategium group for the excellent organization of the BISPO AWARDS – it is very pleasant to be part of such a large-scale event in the world of business and sports.
