MarSpo, an international sports marketing conference, opened today at Moscow’s Otkritie Arena. The conference will be held from April 11-12.
VTB United League president Sergey Kushchenko presented on “League marketing” during one of the breakout groups.
The presentation covered the VTB League’s key goals and priorities, including: Transitioning from sports to business through the example of the All-Star Game, developing HD internet broadcasts and creating a marketable league.
The breakout group “Key problems facing sports marketing in Russia and Europe” also featured Moscow Region physical culture and sports minister Roman Teryushkov, Germany’s Handball-Bundesliga general director Frank Bohmann, Bookmaker Ratings general director Araik Tonyan, Russian e-sports board chairman and federation general secretary Emin Antonyan and Sellout Sport executive director Ivan Meshkov.
