Fan voting for the 3rd VTB United League All-Star Game began today. The game will be held February 17 in Moscow at VTB Arena – Central Stadium “Dynamo.”
The game features a Russian Stars vs. World Stars format.
You can vote for your favorite players on Vkontakte, official partner of the VTB United League.
Voting will be open until noon (MSK) on January 9, 2019.
Upon completion of the 1st round of voting, the VTB United League will release an extended list of nominees for the game, consisting of 69 players: 6 players from the Russian teams (3 Russians and 3 foreign players) and 3 players from the foreign teams.
Journalists from major Russian and foreign outlets will be asked to select the rosters during the 2nd round of voting. Once the voting is complete, the League will release the final All-Star Game rosters for both the Russian Stars and World Stars.
League general director Ilona Korstin: “Beginning today, every fan can choose players for the All-Star Game. This is the 1st round of voting, which will be held on Vkontakte. In four weeks, the League will release the results and send the list of 69 players to journalists, who will then have a chance to make their selections.
The League will keep two wild-card selections to make sure no stars miss out. The voting will be completely transparent with live results on social media and on the League website. Choose your favorite players so you can see them at the All-Star Game in Moscow!”
