UNICS head coach Velimir Perasovic shared his impressions of the friendly game against Avtodor (88:63).
«We are just at the beginning of the journey. Some players joined us just recently, some missed the game because of injuries. That’s why we are progressing step by step. We will be able to talk about the team game after the injured players return to the lineup.
We played home games against Samara and Avtodor without having practiced with the all players. At this stage of preparation, we had both good and bad moments. This is normal for such games. We expect that we will improve with time,» Perasovic said.
Eric Green was the best scorer of the Kazan team with 17 points and 4 assists.
«It was a good game. We are just getting used to each other on the court. We wll continue to get better so we can play all 40 minutes at the same high level.
I was pleased with my debut for UNICS with my new teammates. We are looking forward to a great season and plan to achieve our goals as a team,» Green said.
