The highlight of the first half was a thrilling duel between Dwayne Bacon and Jalen Reynolds: the St. Petersburg team player scored 18 points before the halftime, while UNICS forward scored 22! At the start of the game, the teams played equal, but in the second quarter UNICS began to gradually take the initiative. The trio of Reynolds – Ismael Bako – DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell put together a powerful 13-0 run to take a double-digit lead. At the end of the first half, Bacon and Andrey Vorontsevich were able to bring Zenit back into the game, but the difference between the teams was still impressive – 47:39.
