UNICS does not stay in Perm long and advances to the Semifinals

UNICS defeated PARMA-PARI on the road in the Quarterfinals Game 3 and advanced to the Semifinals – 73:52 (14:21, 20:11, 25:8, 14:12).

UNICS confidently won at home and arrived in Perm, leading 2-0 in the Series. Malik Dime scored 9 straight points at the start, soon Isaiah Reese and Aleksandr Platunov supported with three-pointers. PARMA-PARI (21-14) trailed early in the first quarter, but took the lead in the second quarter, primarily due to defense. After limiting opponent to 11 points in 10 minutes, UNICS went into halftime with a 2-point lead – 34:32.

 

UNICS started to play more aggressive in the second half. The hosts scored only 8 points, while the guests got their rhythm in offense: Daryl Macon scored 2 threes in a row, Marcos Knight and Nenad Dimitrijevic also took part. Winning the third quarter 25:9, the Kazan team led by 19, almost eliminating the question of the winner. In the final quarter, UNICS controlled the game and ended the Series with the 3 wins.

In the semifinals, the Kazan team will face with the winner of Zenit and MBA Series.
