Game progress

The Perm team and the Krasnodar team came the game with the same figures – one win and two losses. As often happens in such cases, the first half was very persistent. PARMA-PARI led the game in general, but Loko did not allow the Perm team to make a big lead. In the middle of the second quarter, PARMA caught the courage, and after Danila Pokhodiaev three-pointer, the hosts lead was 6 points, but it took less than two minutes for Loko to equalize the score once again — 35:35.

And yet the end of the first half remained for PARMA-PARI. In a tight defensive game, the teams did not score so much from the game, but PARMA managed Loko to have foul troubles. Making free throws, Evgeniy Pashutin team led by 6 points at the halftime — 45:39.

To change the situation, Loko urgently needed to find a person who would take over the game. Jaylen Barford became the one. Aleksandr Shcherbenev supplied Barford, Andrey Martiuk and Darrall Willis with assists, which helped Loko not only to comeback, but also to get ahead — 54:50. PARMA-PARI had to start all over again. And yet, at the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarter, the hosts got back the control of the game with Pavel Antipov actions.

The key moment

In the fourth quarter, the tight game continued. Shortly before the end of the regulation, PARMA-PARI once again led by 8 points, but Loko quickly came back and Zakhar Vedishchev most important three points helped the guest loosing only by 3 points— 75:72. The last 30 seconds of the regulation was really dramatic. Zakhar Vedishchev showed again: in a clutch, a young Loko player showed ice on his veins, equalizing the score with a difficult three-pointer over the defender. In the last seconds, Danila Pokhodiaev tried to score the winning shot, but missed. The fate of the game was to be decided in overtime.

The events of the fourth quarter inspired Loko, and the team was no longer going to give up the game. Andrey Martyuk five points in a row helped Loko immediately increase the lead. PARMA did not easily get to the distance of one point, but here again Alexander Sekulic secret weapon worked. 30 seconds before the end of overtime, Zakhar Vedishchev rushed into the paint, made and-one and a free-throw  – 90:85.
