The VTB United League games will begin with a minute of silence in memory of Alzhan Zharmukhamedov

The famous Soviet basketball player and Olympic champion Alzhan Zharmukhamedov passed away at the age of 78.

Alzhan Zharmukhamedov became the winner of 1972 Olympic Games in Munich as part of the USSR national team. Also with the Soviet national team, the center won the European Championship 3 times (1967, 1971, 1979) and became Vice-World Champion in 1978.

The VTB United League games on December 3 and 4 will begin with a minute of silence in memory of the legendary player.
