Slovenia took home gold, defeating Serbia in the final, 93-85. The champions featured one VTB United League player on their roster, Matic Rebec, who signed this summer with Enisey.
Russia, led by 10 VTB United League players, fell to Spain in the 3rd-place game, 93-85. Sergio Rodriguez, who inked with CSKA during the offseason, won bronze with the Spanish national team.
Russian national team and Khimki point guard Alexey Shved was named to the EuroBasket 2017 All-Tournament Team. He led all players in scoring during the tournament (24.3 per game) and ranked in the top 10 in efficiency rating.
Shved was joined by Goran Dragic (Slovenia), who was named the MVP, Bogdan Bogdanovic (Serbia), Luka Doncic (Slovenia) and Pau Gasol (Spain).
