SIBUR made a gift for all the basketball fans of Perm. On August 31, Street basketball center opened on the territory of Yunost stadium. VTB United League sponsor and partner continues its mass sports in regions programme.
New playground with three courts is made for 3×3 basketball. On the latest FIBA congress, Russian basketball federation received numerous awards for development of basketball 3×3.
Hundreds of basketball fans came to celebrate. The event featured workshops with PARMA players, souvenirs and autographs from Russian national team player Alexander Platunov.
The opening day also brought street basketball tournament and a friendly game between Perm region administration and Sibur-Khimprom team with VTB United League president Sergey Kushchenko on court.
“VTB United League partner SIBUR made another huge step to develop basketball in the cities of their presence. In Perm, they made it awesome,” told Kushchenko. “This 3×3 court complies with all the standards, I bet it’s one of the best in Russia today. We have to thank SIBUR first of all, region administration, Perm city administration, Russian basketball federation and Perm basketball federation. Sergey Boguslavsky and PARMA of VTB League contributed a lot to this project. This initiative is a great boost for basketball in Perm which is already one of the leaders in our beloved sport. VTB League appreciates this collaboration. Professional players will grow on this courts to play in the League”
