Khimki forward Sergey Monia will replace injured Zenit forward Sergey Karasev on the roster of the Russian Stars.
The St. Petersburg star will not be healthy in time for the All-Star Game, which will be played on February 17 in Moscow, and is expected to miss three more weeks with a foot injury.
League general director Ilona Korstin: “We wish Sergey Karasev a speedy recovery. He is rightfully one of the biggest Zenit and VTB League stars. I’m confident we’ll see more thrilling performances from him in the second half of the season.
Khimki captain Sergey Monia will replace Karasev on the Russian Stars roster. It’s hard to imagine an All-Star Game without him. He’s a living legend in the League and all the fans will be happy to see Sergey on the court in Moscow.”
