VTB League president Sergey Kushchenko is participating in international sports forum “Russia: Sports Forum,” which is being held in Ulyanovsk from October 10-12.
A round table on the theme of “Professional leagues in Russia: Evolution of development and paths to success” was held today, October 11, at the Volga Sport Arena.
Sergey Kushchenko presented on the topic of “VTB United League: 10 years of moving forward,” which was focused on the primary stages of development and the project’s biggest accomplishments.
The goal of the round table was to exchange experience, discuss pressing issues surrounding the development of professional sports leagues and the path to financial self-sufficiency.
Also participating in the forum were Russian Federation Sport Ministry Director of the Department of Top Level Sports Alexei Morozov, Kontinental Hockey League vice president Alexey Krasnov, Russian Hockey Federation deputy executive director Alexander Kiknadze, APFK Football National League executive director Ivan Shabanov and Russian Premier League marketing director Ivan Suvorov.

The “Russia: Sports Power” forum was established in connection to Order №863 by the President of the Russian Federation on July 27, 2009. With the aim of increasing international sports partnerships, Order №374 by the President of the Russian Federation on March 26, 2010 gave the forum international status.
