VTB United League President Sergey Kushchenko participated in the Sports Industry Entrepreneurs Forum «Masters of Sport: New Rules of the Game», which took place on November 15 in Moscow at Krasny Oktyabr.
The Forum’s programme discussed the Russian sport new realities in 2023, as well as other current topics:
– How are classic sports changing to meet the challenges of the times and how, in this regard, to create successful commercial products?
– How to make new sports formats interesting for business and media?
– How to accelerate import substitution in the sports industry?
– How do the media participate in the formation of a new sports reality?
– How to conduct a dialogue with international sports federations and what communication channels are open for Russia today?
– What measures are needed to increase investment in the sports sector?
Sergey Kushchenko took part as one of the speakers at the plenary session “Sports Business in the Era of Change: Time for Flexibility”, where the topic of development of domestic sporting events under sanctions, strengthening cooperation with friendly countries and returning the focus to mass sport, which requires walking distance to sports facilities, was discussed.
In particular, the session focused on new formats of sports competitions, financing of sports, sports facilities and other aspects.
In addition to the United League President, speakers were Anastasia Zadorina (founder of the ZASPORT brand), Olga Kiseleva (president of the Association of Fitness Industry Operators, head of the international network of World Gym fitness clubs in Russia), Yuriy Krasovsky (president of the Russian betting company Liga Stavok), Svetlana Medvedeva (managing partner of Snegir Arena), and Evgeny Spiryakov (footballer, blogger, owner of Gloves N’Kit Store).
