VTB United League president Sergey Kushchenko, together with RBF president Andrei Kirilenko, Tyumen Oblast governor Vladimir Yakushev, SIBUR board chairman Dmitry Konov and NBA Russia vice president David Watts attended the dedication of a rebuilt basketball court in Tyumen.
The renovated gym is equipped with NBA-standard equipment. It’s the 8th sports facility to be rebuilt by the SIBUR – NBA partnership, which aims to develop basketball in Russia and promote an active lifestyle. Gyms have also been modernized in Perm, Tolyatti, Tomsk, Voronezh, Tobolsk, Nizhnevartovsk and Dzerzhinsk.

– I’m very happy to be at the opening of this court and see the excitement on the faces of kids who will get to play here tomorrow. SIBUR is an important, trusted partner of the VTB League. Together with this company, we’ve been able to carry out important social projects aimed at developing basketball. I’m confident that the League’s joint SIBURCAMP basketball camp project will continue growing and be even more successful next season.
