VTB United League teams will honor the memory of those who died in the Tu-154 plane crash over Sochi. The December 25 and 26 games between Parma – UNICS and CSKA – Enisey will open with a minute of silence.

All of our thoughts and prayers are now directed toward those affected by this tragedy.
On the morning of December 25, immediately after takeoff from Adler airport in the Black Sea, a Tu-154 plane belonging to the Russian Defense Ministry crashed. The plane carried members of the Alexandrov Ensemble, who were going to perform a New Year’s concert at Russia’s Khmeimim base in Syria. They were accompanied by broadcast crews from Channel One, NTV and Zvezda. Among the passengers was doctor and philanthropist, Elizaveta Glinka (Doctor Liza). In total, there were 84 passengers and eight crew members on board.
