VTB United League continue to tell about memorable moments of the championship in “On this day” section.
May 5, 2015 best young player of the year was announced. VEF player Janis Timma was honored.
Janis Timma played in 28 games averaging 12,9 points, 4,5 rebounds, 4,4 assists, 1,4 steals and 14,3 efficiency points. Being one of the key players on VEF roster he contributed a lot fighting for play-off spot, they lacked 1 win.
VEF forward Janis Timma:
– It’s great to be recognised in such championship as VTB United League. I never stop working, on each practice I’m trying to become better. I think that this VEF award too. Each teammate made his efforts.
Other competitors for best young player of the year 2014/15 award were Zenit players Artem Vikhrov and Dmitriy Kulagin and also Avtodor center Artem Klimenko.
