VTB United League continue to tell about memorable moments of the championship in “On this day” section.
May 12, 2016 best young player of the year was announced. Avtodor center Artem Klimenko was honored.
Artem Klimenko played in 27 games averaging 7,7 points, 4,8 rebounds and 9,2 efficiency points. Being Avtodor’s starting center he helped his team take 6th place in a regular season and clinch play-offs.
Other competitors for best young player of the year 2015/16 were VEF forward Janis Berzins and Enisey guard Denis Zakharov.
