CSKA guard Nando De Colo was honored for his 2018-19 Performance of the Season. The award ceremony took place today in Moscow prior to Game 1 of the semifinal series between CSKA and Zenit. VTB United League president Sergey Kushchenko presented the award to the CSKA playmaker.
De Colo not only helped his team overcome an 18-point deficit vs. Avtodor in Saratov and ultimately win in overtime (116-110), but also set several personal records in the process.
In 37 minutes on the court, the CSKA guard recorded 41 points, three assists, nine rebounds and a 43 efficiency rating. His 41 points and 43 efficiency rating were season bests in the VTB United League and career-highs for the French guard.
The first Performance of the Year award went to Nizhny Novgorod center Stevan Jelovac last season. The Serbian big man poured in 49 points to go with 15 rebounds and a 55 efficiency rating in a game vs. Kalev during the 2017-18 campaign.
