The VTB United League’s 3rd All-Star Game will be held on February 17, 2019 at Moscow’s VTB Arena – Central Stadium “Dynamo”, capacity 11,500. Tickets go on sale soon!
League general director Ilona Korstin: “The decision to hold the All-Star Game at the VTB Arena is above all tied to the agreements between the League and our primary sponsor, VTB Bank. We’ve visited the arena many times and seen the progress. The remaining work is cosmetic. Of course, there are certain risks in holding such a big event at a new arena, but our decision was not made lightly. Around 11,000 fans–the arena’s capacity–will be able to attend the VTB United League All-Star Game. We’ve also nearly reached an agreement with our ticket provider and tickets should be on sale at the beginning of December.”
The VTB United League’s 1st All-Star Game was held in February 2017 in Sochi. The Russian Stars defeated the World Stars by a final score of 131-121. Twelve thousand fans packed the Bolshoi Sports Palace to watch the League’s biggest stars compete.
The 2nd All-Star Game was held in St. Petersburg at the Yubileyniy Sports Palace in February 2018. Once again, the Russian Stars came out on top, this time squeaking past the World Stars, 125-124.
