Story
Khimki had lost three of four, including a narrow escape vs. Nizhny Novgorod, and needed a win to close out the New Year.
It didn’t prove to be much trouble. Led by Alexey Shved’s 19 points and a stifling defense that limited the visitors to 31% shooting from the field, the home team went up 19 at halftime and cruised to a 30-point win in the second half.

After dismantling PARMA in its most recent outing, Enisey couldn’t find the basket in Moscow Region. Martins Meiers and Zabian Dowdell were the only two players to score in double digits and the Siberian club finished with a season-worst 62 points.
With the victory, Khimki improves to 6-3, only a game behind 4th-place UNICS. Enisey drops to 2-6, tied with Nizhny Novgorod for 9th place.
