MINSK against Samara. Preview March 17

Minsk will host regular season game on Sunday.

MINSK (Minsk) vs Samara (Samara)

Time: 15:00 (15:00 MSC)
Place: Belarus, Minsk, Falcon Club
Broadcast: League website

MINSK: In the game versus MBA, the team managed to show good defense, letting opponents to score only 21 points in the second half. But MINSK offense couldn’t prove itself. Even 22 points by Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson and 14 points by Grigory Motovilov, none of the Belarusian team’s players reached double-digit scoring. Despite MINSK poor results, the guests shouldn’t relax: the Belarussian team plays very hard against Samara. Although Drazen Anzulovic team won all 3 games, only in the first won confidently. The February game was especially hard, when MINSK traditionally stepped up the pressure in the final quarter and had a chance for at least overtime.

Samara: After a loss in a crucial game versus Uralmash, one of the Group B leaders was able to regain its place with a big win over Astana. The team woek up after the halftime and left Astana offense no chance to get back into the game. As a result, the Volga team kept the chances of winning their group high. In case of a probable success over MINSK, Samara will once again tie with Uralmash in wins. However, Samara has a very difficult schedule ahead: until the end of March, the team will face Avtodor and Nizhny, who have found their game and are much more stable than before the regular season break, and then another battle for the lead in Yekaterinburg.
