MBA wins in Minsk and clinches to the playoffs

MBA beat MINSK on the road – 76:61 (19:21, 23:15, 17:10, 17:15).

Game progress
MINSK won 1 game in 15 games and took the last place. MBA strengthened the place in the Top 4 with the wins over Loko and Astana – 11-5.

Despite the standings, MINSK plays good defense. The Belarusian team locked up after the guests 7:2 run, not allowing the opponent to score 10 points. At the same time, the hosts used the whole roster and steadily scored. The Minsk team lead reached 8 points, but Daniil Kasatkin and Evgeny Valiev made shots at the end allowed MBA to catch up – 21:19, MINSK led.

In the second quarter, MBA set a high pace and gradually take the lead. Three-pointers by Andrey Lopatin and Timofey Yakushin helped the Moscow team to increase the difference. MBA won the quarter 23:15, the guests led by 6 points by the halftime.

For most of the third quarter, the game was equal and only in the last minutes MBA managed a make a run. Lopatin scored free-throws and three-pointer, Yakushin made a mid-range shot  and 11 points lead.

The key moment
The Russian team caught the courage continued to increase the pressure in the fourth quarter. The quarter began with Yakushin three-pointer and then MBA played a beautiful combination, which ended with Lopatin insane poster dunk – 64:46. With such advantage the Moscow team brought the game to win – the 3rd in a row.
