UNICS Kazan has signed forward Maurice Ndour (206 cm, 91 kg), per the club website.
The Senegalese native played for the Winchester Knicks in the 2016-17 season, averaging 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in 27.7 minutes per game.
Ndour spent the 2015-16 season with Real Madrid, where he won a Spanish league title and the Spanish Cup. He’s also played for the New York Knicks.
UNICS head coach Dimitris Priftis:
– Losing Kostas Kaimakoglou to injury forced us to find a new player. We chose Maurice Ndour because we believe he fits our system on defense and on offense. Maurice is a player with a big future. He’s physically prepared and can play several positions. He’s at the beginning of his European career and has a big future ahead of him.
