Lithuanian guard Marius Grigonis (27 years old, 198 cm) became CSKA’s first recruit in the 2021 offseason. The contract with the former Zalgiris player is through the summer of 2024.
Grigonis has played for Zalgiris since 2018. He averaged 13.9 points (50.6% two-pointers, 45.6% three-pointers, 94.4% free throws), 2.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in his latest Euroleague season. The Lithuanian was named Euroleague MVP of the month in October.
Grigonis has been playing for Lithuanian national teams of all ages since 2010 and has become two-time European vice-champion (U16 and U18), World Championship bronze medalist (U19), participant of Olympic Games (2016) and Eurobasket (2017).
