Zenit St. Petersburg has signed guard Malcolm Griffin (26 years old, 193 cm), per the club website. The contract with the American point guard runs to the end of the season with the option for a one-year extension.
Malcolm Griffin graduated from Fresno Pacific University. He played for Liepajas Latvia last season, leading the Latvian league in assists with 7.2 per game to go with 14.2 points, 5 rebounds and 2.4 steals. He was also named the Baltic League Defensive Player of the Year.
Griffin began this season at Kolossos Greece, where he was averaging 15.7 points, 5.1 assists, 4 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
