June 15, Eurocup Council remote meeting took place, and preliminary list of competitors in 2020/21 season was confirmed. Among 24 teams there are 2 VTB United League representatives – Lokomotiv-Kuban and UNICS. The final confirmation will be announced in Jule.
Eight teams that made to quarterfinals in 2019/20 season had guaranteed places in Eurocup 2020/21. UNICS was among these teams, in quarterfinals they should have played against Partizan.
Place in National championship at the moment of season suspension was considered to select candidates. Before the end of the United League season Lokomotiv-Kuban were 3rd, right after Khimki and CSKA.
On June, 10 the draw for Eurocup will take place. The season is scheduled to begin on September, 30.
