The VTB United League has revealed the uniforms for the 2018-19 All-Star Game.
PEAK, a brand with 30 years on the global market and represented in more than 70 countries, is the technical sponsor for this year’s All-Star Game.
The Russian Stars and World Stars will play in exclusive uniforms made from Recycle thread, developed specifically for the All-Star Game in Moscow. The thread is made from recycled plastic bottles and minimizes the environmental impact.
An average of 15 plastic bottles are used to make one complete uniform.
League general director Ilona Korstin: “The VTB League is continuing its environmental campaign. For the first time, All-Star Game uniforms will be made Recycle thread, which uses recycled plastic.
Together with our technical sponsor PEAK, we also developed a unique design for the Russian Stars and World Stars. The logo on the uniform is a nod to the All-Star Game logo and the VTB Arena.
At the same time, there is continuity. The same red and blue colors were used for the teams, but we added a modern monochrome look.”
PEAK Russia general director Andrey Maximov: “Basketball is one of the most popular sports in Russian and the world and a priority sport for global brand PEAK.
It’s a big honor for us to partner with the 3rd-ever VTB United League All-Star Game, which features the best players, VIP guests and thousands of fans from around Russia. I want to especially note that this year, exclusively for the All-Star Game and in partnership with the VTB United League, we created a basketball uniform from Recycle thread, which is made out of recycled plastic bottles. By supporting and developing environmental projects together with the League, we are striving to preserve the Earth’s environment and make the planet cleaner.”
