The wild card picks for the All-Star Game, which will be held February 17 at the VTB Arena in Moscow, have been announced.
CSKA forward Nikita Kurbanov and Lokomotiv-Kuban guard Dmitry Khvostov have received invitations to the Russian Stars roster.
Enisey guard D’Angelo Harrison and PARMA forward Rashard Kelly were selected for the World Stars roster.
League general director Ilona Korstin: “In choosing the wild cards, the League looked at the voting results as well as the players’ individual accomplishments.
Nikita Kurbanov is enjoying an excellent season at CSKA and has been irreplaceable both on defense and offense. Dmitry Khvostov is the starting point guard for Lokomotiv-Kuban and the Russian national team and will be needed at the All-Star Game as an offensive facilitator.
D’Angelo Harrison of Enisey is a genuine entertainer and terrific player. He’s one of the leaders in Krasnoyarsk. Rashard Kelly, meanwhile, leads the League in rebounds and has been outstanding at PARMA.
I’m confident all of these players will be great additions to the All-Star Game.”
