Last year’s top two VTB United League clubs, CSKA and Khimki, met in the Gomelsky Cup championship game on Thursday night.
Khimki took a hard-fought victory over CSKA (18-18, 22-29, 18-18, 26-12), led by American forward Anthony Gill’s 23 points. Alexey Shved finished with 18 points and seven assists for Georgios Bartzokas’s squad.

Darussafaka defeated Panathinaikos in the 3rd-place game, 78-75.
