Turning Point
Kalev put this game away in the opening eight minutes, shredding Parma’s defense with a 32-7 run. Rain Veideman, who finished with a game-high 26, scored 11 points in the 1st quarter to put his team in control.
The visitors got within 11 several times, but never really threatened in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, trailing 71-48 entering the final period.
To Parma’s credit, the Russian club went on a 27-9 run, surging within five points, 80-75, with a minute to go.
But it was a little too late. Demonte Harper sank a pair of free throws and Kalev was able to hang on, picking up its first win in the League since October.
