Kalev officially announced the extension of the contract with the team’s head coach Roberts Stelmahers.
The Latvian specialist headed Kalev in 2019. Under Stelmahers’ guidance, the Tallinn team won 17 victories in a total of 37 games in 2 seasons.
Before the early end of the 2019/20 season, Kalev was in 5th place in the table with a score of 8-12. In the 2020/21 championship, the Estonian team finished in 9th place (9-15), behind 8th-ranked PARMA one win. Under Stelmahers guidance this season Kalev won the Latvian-Estonian League and became the Estonian champion and the Estonian Cup winner.
– I am very happy that I can continue my work in Tallinn! I like this city and the club. I hope that next season the fans will cheer for the team in the stands again! – said Roberts Stelmahers. – To repeat the results of previous seasons will not be easy. We need to build a good team for that. We try to find the right Estonian players and the right foreign players to fight at the highest level. My goal is to have my third successful season in a row with Kalev.
