CSKA guard Iffe Lundberg is named 2020/21 Newcomer of The Year.
Newcomer of The Year award is given to the player with the better first season in the United League.
Lundberg started the season in Zielona Gora. In the Polish team he spent 18 games, averaging 20,4 points, 5,4 assists and 3,8 rebounds with 20,2 efficiency points. In December, Lundberg was named month MVP in the United League.
In the middle of February, the guard moved to CSKA, where he spent 7 games. On average, Lundberg was scoring 10,3 points, 3,4 assists and 2,1 rebounds for CSKA.
“I am happy to receive this award! You should give all the credit to my teammates and coaching staff in Poland, although I spent a few games for CSKA”, Iffe Lundberg said, “This season I’ve changed my player’s mindset, showing the world what I can do. I am happy and thankful for the opportunity.
