What is the All-Star Game?

This is an annual event, where the best players combining with the element of show, and a lot of attractions for the fans. The All-Star Game 2022 will be the 6th in the history of the League.

In 2017 All-Star Game was in Sochi, in 2018 in St.Petersburg and in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 it was in Moscow.

Where and when the All-Star Game will be?

At VTB Arena – Central Stadium Dynamo in Moscow on Sunday, February 19.

VTB Arena is the modern multifunctional sports centre, which was opened in November 2018 and combining football and hockey arena.

How to get there?

Arena address – Leningradsky Prospekt 36, Moscow

The closest metro station – Dinamo (Line 2 or green line), Petrovskiy Park station (Lines 11 and 11A)

What is the theme of the All-Star Game 2023?
This year, the All-Star Game will be in a new format – the New School will play against the Old school.

The New School team will be represented by players no older than 30 years, and the Old School will be represented by players from 30 years and older.

Each quarter will reflect its own era and the rules:

1st quarter: 50s and 60s. There will be 2 referees in the starting quarter, the time limit for the possession will be 30 seconds, and there will be no three-pointers.

2nd quarter: 70s and 80s. The era when the three-point arc appears! At the same time, the first possession in the quarter will start from tip-off.

3rd quarter: 90s and 00s. After the halftime, there will be several changes – 3 referees, possession time will reduce from 30 to 24 seconds and the tip-off will be removed.

4th quarter: 10th – present. Modern basketball and modern rules. At the final quarter, coaches will be able to request challenges.

The head coach is Emil Rajkovic (CSKA).

Old school team: Evgenii Baburin (Pari Nizhny Novgorod), Vitaly Fridzon (Zenit)*, Jermaine Love (Pari Nizhny Novgorod)**, Evgeny Voronov (MBA), James Ennis (Samara), Nikita Kurbanov (CSKA), Ryan Boatwright (Avtodor/PARMA-PARI), Andrey Vorontsevich (UNICS), Jalen Reynolds (UNICS), Malik Dime (PARMA-PARI), Louis Labeyrie (UNICS), Casper Ware (CSKA). The head coach is Velimir Perasovic (UNICS).

* Vitaly Fridzon replaced Thomas Heurtel in the Old School team, who was out indefinitely due to a knee injury

What events will be besides the game?

As usual – two contests! In the break between the first and second quarters there will be a Three-Point Contest, and in the halftime there will be the Slam-Dunk Contest. 4 players participate in each contest.

And what about fans’ contest?

Of course they will be!

There will be a lot of activities and contests for fans before and during the game, especially «A 1 Million shot»!

Who can I meet at the game?

Many famous people among sports and show business stars!

4 artists will perform at the event. Each era has its own hero: this time the audience will be pleased with their songs by Lev Leshchenko, Tatiana Bulanova, Otpetye Moshenniki and Loc Dog. A simultaneous charge of positivity and nostalgia is guaranteed!

If you still cannot attend the arena for some reason, then be sure to turn on the live broadcast of the event on Match! TV or on Start TV channel.
