Dimitris Itoudis and Evgeny Pashutin will be the head coaches at the All-Star Game in Sochi.
Itoudis, head coach of CSKA Moscow, will be in charge of the World Stars, while the UNICS boss will lead the Russian Stars.
Pashutin and Itoudis will name their starting lineups on February 1.
– The head coaches will be a big part of the All-Star Game in Sochi, – noted League general director, Ilona Korstin. – The coaches are also stars in our League.
World Stars coach Dimitris Itoudis is the reigning Euroleague and VTB United League champion and was named Euroleague Coach of the Year last season. CSKA is currently in 1st place this season in the VTB United League.
Russian Stars coach Evgeny Pashutin is the VTB United League’s winningest and most decorated Russian coach. He’s won more than 100 games in over eight seasons in the League. UNICS is currently in 3rd place in the standings, which also puts him 1st among Russian coaches.
I’m confident that the fans in Sochi will get to enjoy an interesting coaching duel.
