Ertugrul Erdogan becomes Runa head coach

The VTB United League newcomer Runa announced Ertugrul Erdogan appointment as head coach. The Turkish specialist replaced Oleg Bartunov.

Erdogan won the Turkish championship as acting head coach of Fenerbahce and also won the vice world championship with the Turkish national team in 2010. The 54-year-old ended the 2022/23 season in Slask, silver medallist of the Polish league.

Ertugrul Erdogan, Runa head coach:
– I can only imagine how difficult the path to the VTB League was. You have given me the opportunity to join the team at this point in your journey. From now on we will go hand in hand and move up step by step. I can accept failure – everyone fails sometimes – but I can’t accept not trying. We will try together!
