By that time, Astana head coach Oleg Kiselev had already used both of his timeouts. But it had its effect. The hosts took advantage of key players absence on the court. During the second quarter, theKazakh team reduced the difference to a minimum – 25:26.

But with the leaders return, the Krasnoyarsk team quickly took the lead. Warner and Gerasimov scored 5 points each and made an 11-point run. By the halftime, the Siberian team leaders had 30 points and Enisey lead returned to 9 points – 47:38.

In the second half, the teams began to show more tough basketball. This format allowed the hosts to control the game.
